I don’t just study the criminal justice system I’ve led it, rebuilt it, and reimagined what it can become. With over 16 years of executive leadership across corrections, courts, federal oversight, and higher education, I specialize in transforming complex, high-stakes systems into models of accountability, efficiency, and meaningful reform. I’ve managed $23M operations, led teams of over 180 professionals, and worked directly with judges, law enforcement, policymakers, and federal agencies to drive measurable, lasting change.

As a former Prison Warden and Clerk of Courts, I’ve implemented policies that strengthened security, improved staff performance, and increased operational efficiency while advancing initiatives that reduced recidivism and expanded access to treatment and rehabilitation. I’ve helped oversee the processing of over 250,000 cases, contributed to the implementation of Pennsylvania’s Clean Slate Law impacting over 100,000 individuals, and testified before the Pennsylvania House Judiciary Committee to advance victims’ rights and legislative reform.

I’ve built programs from the ground up launching and scaling reentry initiatives that served over 1,000 individuals in their first year, reducing reincarceration by addressing substance use, mental health, employment, and housing barriers. I’ve directed the strategic use of over $1.2 million in grant funding, ensuring accountability, performance, and real-world impact.

At the federal level, I currently evaluate detention facilities for compliance with national standards, assessing security, safety, and operational integrity delivering actionable recommendations that strengthen systems and reduce risk. As an educator and published author, I’ve also shaped the next generation of criminal justice professionals while contributing to national conversations on corrections, rehabilitation, and policy reform.
